United was founded in 1949 by people just like you who believed in the values of the community and who believed in service to one another. We’ve been serving Members ever since, growing into who we are today with the knowledge that strength in numbers brings opportunities and prosperity to all of us.
Fort Smith, Ark. – United Federal Credit Union (United) is proud to continue a long partnership with the Fort Smith Boys & Girls Clubs by donating $7,500 to help the club’s Stand With U mentoring program.
“We are very appreciative of the continued support United provides to the Boys & Girls Clubs to help us operate our Stand With U program,” said Jason Morland, Director of Operations at the Fort Smith Boys & Girls Clubs. “Our partnership with United allows us to invest in the youth in our community and provide positive experiences and memories for them.”
The donation is part of a long-standing sponsorship United has with the program. The funds will support the mentoring program which provides monthly special events for participants. It will also help the club maintain its fleet of five vehicles which provide after-school transportation.
“United is happy to be able to continue our partnership with the Fort Smith Boys & Girls Clubs. I was raised in Fort Smith and I personally went to the Girls Club when I was in grade school,” said Lisa Smith, United Branch Manager. “The club has had a lot of extra expenses this year with PPE and we hope this donation will provide some of the items their staff needs. United is grateful to be part of a community that includes a safe and fun place like the Boys & Girls Clubs for the youth in Fort Smith.”
Since 2013, United has given more than $50,000 to the Fort Smith Boys & Girls Clubs helping to support a variety of programs and events.
