BATON ROUGE, LOUISIANA—Pelican State Credit Union hosted a free Virtual Financial Wellness Workshop on Tuesday, September 29, 2020, where attendees were given the steps toward living a stress-free lifestyle through budgeting.

The workshop was hosted live on both Zoom and Pelican’s Facebook page and featured Pelican Nationally Certified Credit Counselor Lisa Fuller.

The Household Budgeting Made Easy virtual presentation began at 7:00 pm and included helpful tips like why it’s important to establish a budget, how to set realistic financial goals, what it means to “pay yourself first,” and more. Following the presentation, Fuller answered several finance-related questions that attendees submitted during the stream.

Guests who registered for and attended the workshop were entered into a giveaway to win one of two Pelican prize packs, which each included a $50 Visa® gift card!

The event was completely free and open to the public. Pelican membership was not required to attend the workshop, ask questions, or win a prize.

The credit union will continue to host virtual workshops throughout the year with a variety of topics. To see all upcoming Pelican events, visit pelicanstatecu.com/events.
