Educational Systems FCU Awards $71,000 for Scholarships and Professional Development

September 22, 2020 (Greenbelt, MD) – Educational Systems Federal Credit Union has given $71,000 this year to help students and educators continue their education. The scholarships and awards were made possible through the Support Education Foundation, which supports the pursuit of academic and professional development by providing funding and resources. 

• Nine high school seniors were awarded $3,000 Dorothy Marvil Scholarships to attend a four year college or university, community college, technical college or trade school. 

• Eight graduating business and finance high school students received $3,000 Rosemary Brinkley Business and Finance Scholarships to pursue their higher education in business, finance or a related field. 

• Three community college students were awarded $3,000 Community College Scholarships. 

• Eleven educators were presented with $1,000 Maurice Erly Professional Development Awards to be used for workshop registrations, certification fees and/or tuition.
