Notre Dame FCU President and CEO Tom Gryp said, "Notre Dame FCU does not exist to maximize profits. Instead, our priority is to improve the lives of our member-owners, our partners (employees), and the communities in which we serve. That means “doing the right thing” takes precedent over just making money. It is a mission we are all very proud of and is what makes Notre Dame FCU so special.”
The two-part assessment is performed by the Best Companies Group, an independent research firm specializing in identifying and recognizing great places to work. In part one, the employer completes the Employer Questionnaire. In part two, employees of the company complete a satisfaction survey. Notre Dame FCU is proud to boast a response rate of 82% for the employee survey process.
Ande Kurth, Director of Human Resources, said, “This award highlights a team that values true partnership in support of changing a life a day. Our employees’ overall satisfaction shows through their survey responses. Receiving high rankings from culture to benefits means we are doing what is right for both our member-owners and partners.”
There are 50 companies on the list, and Notre Dame FCU was recognized as ninth overall and first among the credit unions with assets between $500 million and $1 billion.
