UW Credit Union to Cover its Members EatStreet Delivery Fees through 2020

Madison, WI – August 31, 2020 – Beginning today, UW Credit Union members will receive free delivery on EatStreet orders purchased with their UW Credit Union-issued credit or debit card. The promotion runs through December 31 and can be applied at more than 15,000 EatStreet-connected restaurants, many of which are locally owned companies that have been impacted by COVID-19.
“As a leadership team, we often find ourselves asking a lot of big questions,” said UW Credit Union CMO Anne Norman. “Questions about how to better serve our members, how to give back to our community, and how to operate as a financial resource, not just a financial institution. Our connection to EatStreet was prompted by one simple question - how can we help our members save on their own terms?”
The recent partnership between the two Madison-based companies is the first of its kind for EatStreet, one of the largest online and mobile food delivery services in the United States. EatStreet has seen a 30-50 percent increase in orders since March, with average delivery fees ranging from $0.99 to $4.99.
“Restaurants are at the heart of each community’s soul – bringing people together in ways few other establishments can. That’s why it’s so important we support them during the pandemic,” said Matt Howard, EatStreet CEO and co-founder. “Teaming up with UW Credit Union to make it easier for its 270,000 members to get their favorite foods delivered is a wonderful way to provide an immediate boost for restaurants.”

Browse menus and place your order, paying with your UW Credit Union debit or credit card to activate the $0 delivery. It will not work if Apple Pay or Apple Wallet is selected.

EatStreet’s no-contact delivery option is one of several proactive measures the company has taken to reduce the spread of COVID-19.
