Credit Union Donates $24,500 for Veterans

Educational Employees Credit Unions $24,250 donation made a substantial dent in the $100,000 a nonprofit organization needs to raise to send a group of Valley veterans to the National World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C. Central Valley Honor Flight is accepting donations to send 30-40 local vets to visit the memorial. The organization will fly a group every 3-4 months, starting first with the World War II veterans, followed by veterans from the Korean War and the Vietnam War. EECU pledged to donate $50 for every auto loan it financed from mid- to late-May. During that period, the credit union financed 485 of those loans, resulting in a check covering nearly a quarter of the expenses for the trip.
