American Heritage CU Honors Local Healthcare Workers
August 13, 2020
PHILADELPHIA, PA (August 12, 2020) — American Heritage Credit Union (“American Heritage”), paid tribute to local healthcare workers and their associates with a special airplane “thank you” flyover to show the Credit Union’s gratitude for their front line efforts during the COVID-19 Pandemic. The plane featured an “American Heritage Thanks Our Healthcare Heroes” banner, which was flown over healthcare facilities and hospitals that serve as workplace partners of American Heritage, as well as nearby American Heritage branches that directly serve those facilities’ workers and local members.
“For many years, we have worked with local hospitals to raise millions for their pediatric therapy programs. We recently donated 50,000 PPE facemasks as well as 30,000 medical gowns to our local hospital partners. We are inspired by the passion and selflessness that our hospital members are proving to our community to help affected patients and communities, and we wanted to express our appreciation to them in a fun and visual way,” stated Bruce K. Foulke, American Heritage President & CEO.
American Heritage has over a dozen hospitals in its Workplace Partner Program, and many of American Heritage’s members serve as healthcare workers at those facilities. In the wake of COVID-19, American Heritage has provided several dozen support and relief programs for its 200,000 local members including a donation of 50,000 PPE facemasks to 14 local hospitals in April, the joint donation of 30,000 medical gowns to regional healthcare facilities in July, and hosting American Red Cross Blood Drives at multiple branch locations throughout the Spring and Summer. American Heritage has also increased its investment in live video interactive tellers, online banking, and mobile transactions to further promote social distancing and safe banking for members.
