Take more control of your financial success.
St. Louis, MO - August 4, 2020 - During the past 2019-2020 school year, 1,030 students from five high schools in Jefferson County (MO) and St. Louis County (MO) completed 3,971 hours of learning through a digital financial education platform provided by Arsenal Credit Union in partnership with EVERFI.
Pre- and post-lesson assessments showed these students increased their financial knowledge and confidence by 55 percent. Having more knowledge and gaining more confidence will help them develop the habits they need to support their financial well-being in the future.
Arsenal first brought the program to a low- to moderate-income (LMI) school in North St. Louis County in the second semester of the 2015-16 school year, with 315 students completing 1,135 hours of learning. Since then, the credit union has expanded its reach to other local high schools while continuing to provide it to the same LMI school.
Over the past four school years, 3,128 students at several different local high schools have completed 11,078 hours of learning. Student usage actually doubled the past school year compared to the 2016-17 school year.
In addition to providing digital learning, Arsenal reached 1,214 elementary, middle and high school students in 2019 through presentations given in the classroom by staff.
