first westAbbotsford, B.C. Envision Financial is proud to announce that two Boston Pizza locations in Abbotsford have come on board as a community partner in support of The Full Cupboardan innovative community program designed to raise food, funds and awareness for food banks throughout the Lower Mainland, Fraser Valley and Kitimat. Throughout the summer, Boston Pizza will be collecting non-perishable food donations at their Clearbrook and Sumas locations and in return, diners will receive a coupon to use during their next visit. Additionally, Boston Pizza staff will be onsite at the Abbotsford Arts Councils Envision Concert in the Park series every Saturday until September, handing out coupons to concertgoers that can be redeemed at the Sumas, Clearbrook, Walnut Grove or Fleetwood Boston Pizza locations. Launched earlier this year, The Full Cupboard was developed as a long-term community investment program at Envision Financial and will run in conjunction with the organizations already well-established community investment initiatives.Through this program, Envision Financial has committed to raising at least $1 million for local food banks over the next 10 years. Notably, over $25,500 and 2,600 pounds of food has been raised and collected since the programs inception in March 2013. "Envision Financial has a long history of supporting food banks in our communities," says Shana Temple, branch manager at Envision Financials Minter Street location. "As the number of people using food banks in B.C. is on the rise, were excited to welcome Boston Pizza on board as a partner in supporting The Full Cupboard. Together, were doing our part to help drive awareness and raise funds for these important community organizations in the hopes that no one goes without basic and adequate nutrition." Carmen Simon, Boston Pizzas community relations representative shares, "Boston Pizza has been feeding families since the very first restaurant opened in 1964. To this day we are still happily feeding friends, family, and neighbors. We understand that not everyone has the opportunity to have a meal at a restaurant. Thats why through the Abbotsford Art Councils Envision Concert in the Park Series, we will be partnering with Envision Financials Full Cupboard program to help provide the local food banks of Abbotsford with much needed supplies." Members of the local community can also support The Full Cupboard program by bringing non-perishable food donations to the Envision Concert in the Park series on Full Cupboard evenings July 13, 27, August 24 and September 7 at Mill Lake Park or by donating non-perishable food items or making cash donations at their nearest Envision Financial branch. Cash donations of $20 or more are tax-deductible and can be made as one-time contributions, through regular, pre-authorized payments or online at http://www.foodbanksbc.com/get-involved/thefullcupboard.
