Northland FCU Donates $1,800 to Help Jumpstart Veterans Memorial

July 17, 2020, Oscoda, Michigan - Northland Area Federal Credit Union recently donated $1,800 to the Veterans Memorial Park to pay for the foundation of their new columbarium project in Oscoda.  A columbarium is a structure with recesses called niches to house the ashes of the deceased.

The new columbarium will be erected inside the Pentagon Service Memorial at the Oscoda, Veterans Memorial Park, at 4000 N. Skeel Ave. “The columbarium will include 48 niches and will provide an honorable resting place for our U.S. military soldiers and their spouses, “said, Veterans Memorial Park, Chairperson, Rose Mary Nentwig.  “Northland’s donation will help to move this meaningful project forward.”
