Skyward Credit Union Makes $3,000 Donation to Kansas Food Bank

Wichita, Kan. – July 15, 2020 –Skyward Credit Union is pleased to support the Kansas Food Bank and give back to the communities in which it serves by donating $3,000 to the organization and designating $2,000 to Sedgwick County and $1,000 to Montgomery County.

“We are very thankful for the support received from Skyward Credit Union” said Brian Walker, President & CEO of the Kansas Food Bank. “Our partner agencies have seen an increase in the number of people coming for help, many for the first time ever. This gift will assist in putting missing meals on the tables of our neighbors in need.”

The Kansas Food Bank’s mission is to provide comprehensive and compassionate HungerCare™ whenever and wherever it is needed to safeguard the health, well-being and productivity of food-insecure Kansas families and their children, as well as senior citizens, the homeless and the chronically ill and impoverished among us. The Kansas Food Bank provides food for hunger relief in 85 Kansas counties and is one of 202 food banks nationwide that are members of Feeding America® .

Founded in 1941, Skyward Credit Union has over $365 million in assets with locations in Wichita, Kansas and Independence, Kansas. Membership is open to employees and retirees of Textron Aviation and their family members including former employees and retirees of Cessna Aircraft Company, Beechcraft Corporation, Raytheon Aircraft Company, Beech Holdings and various subsidiaries that support Textron Aviation.
