ORANGE COUNTY, Calif., (July 9, 2020) - Kids face many hardships—school supplies should not be one of them. That’s why San Diego County Credit Union® (SDCCU®) has partnered with the YMCA of Orange County to collect school supplies for Orange County and Riverside County students in need and  this year, many more parents and students are facing financial hardship due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, so the need is even greater!

This year, with the closure of many non-essential businesses due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, many more families are facing financial hardship and there is even a greater need for support. Having a backpack and all of the needed school supplies is essential for success in the school year. A small donation can make a big difference in the life of students in need.

“We encourage the entire SDCCU community to support this effort and donate to help set these children up for success in the new school year. We are proud to once again partner with the YMCA of Orange County to help make a big difference in the lives of students in need throughout the Southern California,” said Teresa Campbell, SDCCU President and CEO.

Monetary donations will be accepted online through July 31. For more information or to donate online, visit sdccu.com/donate.
