TEXAS - The Furthering Community Unity (FCU) Team powered by
Shell Federal Credit Union has kicked off their fourth annual "Supplies for Students" drive, a school supply drive benefiting Deer Park, Pasadena, La Porte, Pearland, Clear Creek, Humble and Galena Park Independent School Districts.
The FCU Team will be collecting cash donations, as well and school supplies, through July 31st. All monetary donations raised from the branches will be used to purchase school supplies for the benefiting schools. All supplies will be purchased and delivered in early August so the schools will know what supplies they have available for students in need.
Also, the FCU Team has developed a new partnership with Our Community Giving, a local nonprofit organization that collects new/used clothing and textile items via bins at various locations and recycles the collections. The perfect solution to recycle your shirts, jeans, undergarments, towels, sheets, etc. The funds from the recycling the items in July will directly benefit the Supplies for Students fundraiser.
The FCU Team invites the community to assist children in need by donating supplies or monetary funds at any Shell FCU branch before August 1. To find a branch closest to you please visit
