July 15, 2013
Frankfort, KY - The newest branch for Commonwealth Credit Union is open and it is functioning unlike any other banking experience our members have had before! Kim Durrum, Georgetown Branch Manager, and her staff "opened the doors" to the Georgetown community on Monday, June 24.
Members immediately gravitated towards the Interactive touchscreens to navigate thru our services, play games, and check-out whats going on in the community and more! Everyones immediate reaction when they entered the branch was "WOW&!" Even Lee Cruse, TV Personality from WLEX-TV in Lexington, KY was impressed. Lee televised his morning show Lee Cruse "Live At Sunrise" from the new branch. He compared our branch to the set of "Star Trek"!
Children brought in their piggy banks so the FREE Coin Counting Machine could count their money and automatically deposit it in their credit union savings account. The kids also took time to play games on the iPads that are located in the "Childrens Corner". While the children were busy, their parents visited the "Technology Table" to check on their accounts, the Stock Market and the score of the baseball game. Great times were enjoyed by all members and employees!
Commonwealth Credit Union has already been involved in many of the community events such as Concert On The Square. Our next community event will be a FREE family event outdoor Movie Night. We will show the movie "BRAVE", along with free refreshments, games, and an inflatable for the kids. Food will also be collected for the Back Pack Program for Scott County Schools. We plan to continue to be an active partner with the Georgetown community.
