NAPERVILLE, IL (June 25, 2020) — DuPage Credit Union would like to thank everyone who generously donated to its June 19th Drive, Drop & Donate fundraiser. During its seventh-annual shred and electronic recycling event, the Credit Union raised a record $6,435.92 which will be used to purchase school supply kits for DuPage County students in need.

“We’re ecstatic about raising nearly twice as much as we have in previous years,” said Amy Brandt, Vice President of Business Solutions at DuPage Credit Union. “We’re humbled by the generosity of our members and the community. With these uncertain times, we didn’t know what to expect in regards to turnout. The money raised during the event went beyond our highest expectations and we’ll be able to help even more students start the school year with the tools necessary to succeed in the classroom.”

The school supply kits will be distributed to students attending Catholic Charities, Diocese of Joliet’s Annual Back-to-School Fair on August 5th at the DuPage County Fairgrounds in Wheaton, which benefits DuPage County students in need through the DuPage Regional Office of Education.

To date, the Credit Union has surpassed its 2020 goal of $10,000 and has raised $16,951 for its We’ve Got Your Back fundraising campaign; and will continue to take donations through July 31st. To make a donation or learn more, visit dupagecu.com/community/weve-got-your-back.

Thank you to our Drive, Drop & Donate sponsor, The Rusin-Fulco Realty Group for sponsoring the event for the fourth-straight year.
