CSE Team Members Earn Financial Counselor Certification

Lake Charles, La.— Recently, four employees at CSE Federal Credit Union (CSE) earned a Credit Union Certified Financial Counselor (CUCFC) designation by completing a year-long training program with two proctored online exams; Consumer Lending Supervisor Tammy Peloquin, Jennings Branch Manager Donna Collins, Member Service Supervisor Kyle Witt and Member Solutions Representative Melissa Nugent.

The CUCFC Program is presented by the Louisiana Credit Union League (LCUL) and is an enhanced, unique training program for credit union staff to learn skills and knowledge necessary to assist and empower members to improve their financial health. Financial Counselors are required to recertify every three years, to ensure that knowledge about financial counseling is current.

CSE is proud to have a total of 17 employees with this achievement, with a grand total of 38 years of certification. CSE commits to having a well-versed staff in this area. The knowledge gained in order to stay current on financial counseling is invaluable when assisting CSE Members.

Membership is open to anyone who lives, works, worships or attends school in Calcasieu, Cameron and Jeff Davis Parishes.
