(SAN ANTONIO, TX – June 11, 2020) – The Security Service Charitable Foundation is donating $5,000 to Sierra’s K9 Rescue and Rehabilitation, a local non-profit organization dedicated to saving street dogs. Funds will be used towards building a rescue shelter that will provide space for some of San Antonio’s stray dog population who are awaiting adoption.

“We have a city rampant with street dogs who are ready to thank their new owners with a lifetime of love,” said Toni Davison, founder of Sierra’s K9 Rescue and Rehabilitation. “Our goal is to get as many homeless dogs off the street and into good homes with kind and loving owners. This donation is a huge step toward providing a shelter for the dogs until they find permanent homes.”

Sierra's K9 Rescue and Rehabilitation is dedicated to saving San Antonio’s street dogs and those within a 250-mile area of the city. While caring for and rehabilitating these animals, they seek loving, adoptive families.

“Sierra’s K9 Rescue & Rehabilitation is helping address a need within our community,” said Brandy Ralston-Lint, senior vice president of corporate communications for Security Service Federal Credit Union. “We are glad to be able to help this rescue organization build a shelter and ultimately help reduce the stray dog population in San Antonio.”

The Security Service Charitable Foundation helps further Security Service Federal Credit Union’s corporate goal of community service by contributing to deserving organizations and causes in the credit union's market areas.
