New England Federal Credit Union Awards $9,000 in STEM Scholarships

Williston, VT— June 10, 2020 - Each year, New England Federal Credit Union (NEFCU) awards three Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Scholarships of $3,000 each. In addition to NEFCU membership, applicants must be pursuing one of these fields of study:
• Biological Sciences
• Physical Sciences
• Mathematical Sciences
• Computer and Information Sciences
• Geosciences
• Engineering
• Technology areas
Scholarships are awarded to applicants who best demonstrate commitments to their fields of study. The 2020 NEFCU STEM Scholarship winners are:
Piper Desorcie of Westford, Vermont will be attending the University of New England pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Biology.
Casey Caforia of Enosburg Falls, Vermont will be attending the University of Vermont pursuing a double major in Mathematics and Data Science.
Ryann Giummo of Essex Junction, Vermont is pursuing pre-med studies at Duke University.
