Skyward Credit Union Announces Twelve Scholarship Winners

Wichita, Kan. – June 1, 2020 –Skyward Credit Union is pleased to announce the winners of the Aim Higher Scholarships for the 2020-2021 school year. Twelve undergraduate applicants were selected by a committee from a large pool of applications. Each winner will receive an award of $1,000 to support their education.

2020-2021 Aim Higher Scholarship Recipients are:

• Alexis Cantrell, studying Elementary Education at Butler Community College

• Ashlynn Esgro, studying Physical Therapy at Wichita State University

• Caleb Mugglin, studying Aerospace Engineering at Wichita State University

• Catherine Madison, studying Elementary Education at Newman University

• Collin Koester, studying Engineering at Kansas State University

• Delaney Smith, studying Theatre at Emporia State University

• Kayla Jost, studying Hospitality Management at Kansas State University

• Kerry Broadus Jr., studying Business Management at Jackson State University • Mackenzie Martin, studying Athletic Training at Wichita State University

• Olivia Moore, studying to be a Dental Assistant at Wichita State University Tech

• Samantha Gleason, studying Equestrian Science and Equine Administration at William Woods University

• Skylar Burzinski, studying Speech Pathology/Audiology at Wichita State University

The Aim Higher Scholarship was developed to encourage and support higher education for members of Skyward Credit Union. Thanks to a community grant from the Heartland Credit Union Association, the number of recipients was increased to twelve this year. Applicants were anonymously selected based on community involvement and an essay regarding financial education. Skyward Credit Union has over $365 million in assets with locations in Wichita, Kansas and Independence, Kansas. Membership is current and former employees of Textron Aviation Companies (Cessna, Beechcraft, and Hawker) and their families.
