Burnsville, MN - June 1, 2020 – Firefly Credit Union recently donated 70 tablets to M Health Fairview in Minnesota as part of a statewide challenge called #CUs4U. In this challenge, credit unions are honoring essential workers and giving back to the community.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, hospitals are restricting visitors. One way that patients are able to stay connected to their loved ones is through the use of tablets to video chat or call. The tablets donated by Firefly will be available for patients to use to communicate with their loved ones and medical staff.

“Firefly strongly believes in the credit union philosophy of people helping people,” said Dale Turner, President/CEO. “During these challenging times, we are doing what we can to help those in need. When we heard that M Health was looking for tablet donations, we knew that this was a great opportunity for us to give back to an amazing health system. We hope our donation will allow patients to feel connected to their loved ones, even when they are unable to be together.”
