Hanscom FCU Charitable Foundation Donates $5,000 to MA COVID Relief

Hanscom AFB, MA (May 8, 2020) – Hanscom Federal Credit Union Charitable Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Hanscom FCU, has donated $5,000 to the Massachusetts COVID-19 Relief Fund, which has raised a combined $25 million to date to support Massachusetts residents affected by the coronavirus pandemic. The Foundation has committed $10,000 to aid efforts designed to help those who are suffering from the economic impact of the disease outbreak.
The Fund, launched by Massachusetts First Lady Lauren Baker and the One8 Foundation, will support communities hit hardest by the pandemic, including the food insecure, frontline healthcare workers, those with disabilities, and the homeless.
Hanscom FCU Charitable Foundation provides resources to worthy charitable causes, supporting our community by marshaling both human and financial resources and providing assistance where it can do the most good for the community. These objectives, combined with supporting members’ mutual interest in social welfare and betterment of quality of life, capture the Foundation’s ethos of “People Helping People.”
