SACRAMENTO, CA (May 7, 2020) — For the seventh consecutive year, Golden 1 Credit Union (Golden 1) is proud to sponsor the Big Day of Giving. Golden 1 has once again pledged to contribute a proportional match of up to $50,000 for donations made using a Golden 1 credit or debit card during the Thursday, May 7 event.

“The spirit of philanthropy shown by the Sacramento region each year during the Big Day of Giving continues to inspire us and is particularly meaningful this year,” said Erica Taylor, Vice President of Communications and Community Relations. “Golden 1 is proud to help our generous members give back to our neighbors and communities as they face the unexpected challenges created by the pandemic.”

Golden 1 will proportionally divide donations between its members’ chosen charities. Last year, Golden 1 members gave $448,367 on the annual giving day, and Golden 1 contributed more than $100,000 in matched funds and charitable contributions to participating nonprofits.
