UW Credit Union Funds $2,000,000 in Emergency Loans

I’m so proud of our UW Credit Union team for working diligently to meet the needs of so many:

• On March 16th we started offering Emergency Loans to members facing hardship due to COVID-19. As of today, we have funded $2,000,000 to 1,075 families with interest rates no higher than 1.9%.

• We’ve also processed 3,100 loan payment extensions, giving members in need a break from making loan payments while preserving their credit.

• While some mortgage lenders have stopped taking refinance loan applications from new customers, we’ve kept going without change, taking in 1,850 applications in just the past 30 days. Refinancing means lower monthly payments and stronger budgets for many families.
