Credit union awards classroom grant

Sioux Falls Federal Credit Union has awarded seven area teachers "Adopt-A-Classroom" grants to help them teach financial literacy to their students. "We are happy to support these teachers with their financial literacy projects - we feel that its incredibly important to provide students in our community with the opportunity to learn how to manage money and how to make wise financial decisions" said Sioux Falls Federal Credit Union President/CEO Fran Sommerfeld. Grants were awarded to the following teachers: Mary Alexander, Sioux Falls Lincoln High special education teacher, Sarah Ailts, Sioux Falls Patrick Henry Middle School 7th grade math teacher, Kindra Schneider, Sioux Falls Terry Redlin Elementary 5th grade teacher, Linda Pinz-Valdez, Sioux Falls Oscar Howe Elementary 5th grade teacher, Jodi Neugebauer, Garretson Elementary 2nd grade teacher, Donna Howes, Sioux Falls Horace Mann Elementary 1st grade teacher, and Shannon Hohwieler, Sioux Falls John Harris Elementary kindergarten teacher.
