Pelican State CU Hosting Virtual Financial Literacy Workshops

BATON ROUGE, LOUISIANA— April 17, 2020 - Pelican is proud to participate in National Financial Literacy Month and National Credit Union Youth Month each year by hosting workshops for youth and adults across the state. This year, the credit union is taking their efforts online to meet their members’ and communities’ needs as everyone practices social distancing throughout the month of April.
Parents can visit pelicanstatecu.com/TeamPelican for fun information and ideas for youth financial education. The credit union is also hosting a digital event on Facebook for parents to join for information of drawing contests, coloring and activity sheets, storytime videos, and more.
Adults can learn more about Managing Money During a Disaster through our newest virtual Financial Wellness Workshop on the Pelican State Credit Union YouTube page. In addition to this workshop, they can find the complete #AskPelican series answering questions about credit, finance, and money!
