Credit Union ONE Walks for Warmth

Ferndale, MI - March 9, 2020 – A team of over 60 Credit Union ONE employees and family members participated in the 30th annual Walk for Warmth, benefiting the Oakland Livingston Human Services Agency ( OLHSA ), hosted at Great Lakes Crossing Outlet Mall on February 29th, 2020.

The Walk For Warmth is an annual fundraising event to promote awareness and provide support to those facing heat related emergencies in Oakland and Livingston counties through the emergency utility assistance program. Those helped include Children (36%), Seniors (22%), and the Disabled (19%). All different people from all areas of the Counties are supported by this walk.

Credit Union ONE participated as a sponsor along with a team of walkers for the 13th year in a row. The event seems to grow each year as the participation level of walkers and sponsors continues to increase. Entertainment is provided, and the stores also pass out coupons to those in attendance.

“ How appropriate this fundraising walk is especially this past month with the snow and cold,”  said John Kozich Credit Union ONE Vice President of Community Relations. “ This is a great teambuilding exercise and a positive way to make an impact in an area of need’.
