Kstate CREDIT UNION Donates $3,951 to Fairy Godmothers

MANHATTAN, KS – February 19, 2020 - kstate CREDIT UNION presented a check for $3,951 to the Fairy Godmothers organization in Manhattan, Kansas -- the money was raised during kstate CREDIT UNION’s annual Skip-A-Pay program.  Skip-A-Pay is a program that allows members to skip a loan payment during November or December in exchange for a charitable donation. Fairy Godmothers was selected by the employees as the recipient.

LaRae Kraemer, CEO/President for kstate CREDIT UNION said, “The Fairy Godmothers assist so many families in our community.  We are happy to see the Skip-A-Pay proceeds donated to such a helpful organization.”

The Fairy Godmothers’ website states their objective is to “provide flexible, accessible monies to address immediate, short term, critical needs for women not being met by traditional funding sources.” Fairy Godmothers is made up of community volunteers and was established in 2006.
