Grand Forks, ND - March 2, 2020 - Staff at University FCU was surprised to learn that a large percentage of girls, including those in the University of North Dakota community, depend on the school system or friends for personal supplies on a regular basis. That is why the credit union has been inspired by the Period Project to assemble 200 female student care packages for the local school systems and pantries.

These bags will contain everything a girl needs for her personal care, and will help ensure that even over the summer months, these girls have what they need. No Embarrassment – Period!

The 200 bags will be divided:

  • 50 for a community school.

  • 50 for the UND food for thought pantry.

  • 50 for the Hope Pantry.

  • 50 for the Northland Mission

If donations allow for more than 200 care bags, the extra will also be divided among the organizations listed above. Any person or organization can make a donation by utilizing this Amazon Wishlist or contact Nanci Wilson, University FCU Community Engagement Officer.
