San Diego County CU Helping to Collect Books for Read Across America

SAN DIEGO, CA - February 28, 2020 - San Diego County Credit Union® (SDCCU®), San Diego’s largest locally-owned financial institution, is proud to partner with United Way of San Diego County to collect books for children as part of Read Across America. From March 2 through March 6, new books can be donated at any SDCCU branch location in San Diego County.
Read Across America is an initiative created by the National Education Association designed to promote and celebrate reading in the classroom, libraries and schools all year long. Read Across America Day is usually celebrated on the school day closest to March 2, Dr. Seuss’ birthday.
“SDCCU is proud to partner with United Way of San Diego to promote literacy and celebrate reading. Literacy among children is vital to future generations and SDCCU encourages everyone to donate a book for this effort,” said SDCCU President and CEO Teresa Campbell.
