East River FCU "Shares the Love" with the Local Food Pantry

Madison, SD - February 18, 2020 - "Valentine's Day is all about sharing the love with your significant other, family and friends," said Erica Clements, Marketing Specialist at East River Federal Credit Union in Madison, S.D. "But what about also directing some of that love to our community during this holiday!"

East River FCU's team decided that their once a month "Image Wednesday" would focus on supporting the community. This month they decided to help out the local food pantry by collecting food items from both employees and their members. 

"We contacted the local food pantry and they said they are always in need of cakes and frosting. We saw this as a great way to add a little sweetness back into the lives of others. We also focused on soups and crackers which they always have a need for as well,"  said Clements. 

Donations from members were also accepted the week before Valentines Day and then distributed to the food pantry the following week.
