January 31, 2020
PLYMOUTH, Minn. (January 30, 2020) — TruStone Financial Federal Credit Union’s Wisconsin employees recently raised $1,000 for the Cold Spring Salvation Army. The credit union’s Wisconsin branches teamed up to create themed gift baskets that they raffled off at their holiday party, donating proceeds to the local nonprofit.
“We are grateful for the donation from TruStone. This gift will allow us to continue serving more than 2,500 individuals who come to our food pantry during the year,” said Lieutenant Alex Yanez, Corps Officer at the Cold Spring Salvation Army.
The Salvation Army is an international nonprofit organization that provides a variety of services to those in need. The Cold Spring Salvation Army helps the Milwaukee County community by providing food and emergency services for families, school supplies for children, educational and enrichment programs for youth and much more.
“Our employees in Wisconsin were so excited to fundraise for the Salvation Army this past holiday season,” said Kacie Osten, Vice President and Director of Wisconsin Branches at TruStone Financial. “The credit union looks forward to putting together these baskets every year, and it’s a great feeling to know the proceeds are going to an organization that has as big of an impact on the community as the Salvation Army does.”
