West-Aircomm Federal Credit Union Raises $11,000 for Operation Troop Appreciation

Beaver, PA – January 17, 2020 - West-Aircomm Federal Credit Union is proud to announce it has raised $11,000 to benefit Operation Troop Appreciation.
West-Aircomm named Operation Troop Appreciation its Spotlight Charity for 2019 with the initial commitment of raising funds in the amount of $10,000 to support the efforts of Operation Troop Appreciation’s Active Duty and Welcome Home programs. To raise the funds, staff volunteered their personal time to plan various fundraisers including staff jeans days, bake sales, hosting various food trucks and candy bar sales.
West-Aircomm staff members that were integral in the fundraising efforts along with CEO Lynn Stephenson, presented a check to Operation Troop Appreciation volunteers at West-Aircomm’s Moon Township branch. (picture below)
West-Aircomm has raised over $50,000 for its Spotlight Charities over the past 4 years.
Operation Troop Appreciation is a Pittsburgh-based, 100% volunteer non-profit organization dedicated to members of the US Armed Forces, past and present. By providing them with items that contribute to their health, morale, and well-being, OTA presents a united front to our military by supporting them as individuals. OTA has granted wishes to over 171,000 deployed troops and veterans since July of 2004, and is experiencing increased need from our troops in the field and our returning heroes
