Christian Community CU Pledges $135K to Council for Christian Colleges and Universities

Christian Community Credit Union has pledged $135,000 over three years to the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU). This pledge will add to the Council’s existing faculty scholarship fund. The faculty scholarship fund provides faculty from Council institutions with funds to create and disseminate high-quality scholarship that brings Christian voices into contemporary academic conversations.
“This wonderful first-time gift from the Christian Community Credit Union marks the beginning of an exciting new partnership,” said CCCU President Shirley V. Hoogstra. “I look forward to seeing the increased impact of the faculty grants because of this commitment.”

The Council for Christian Colleges & Universities a higher education association of more than 180 Christian institutions around the world. With campuses across the globe, including more than 150 in the U.S. and Canada and more than 30 from an additional 18 countries, CCCU institutions are accredited, comprehensive colleges and universities whose missions are Christ-centered and rooted in the historic Christian faith.
Christian Community Credit Union has $674 million in assets and over 31,000 members nationwide. For over 60 years, the Credit Union has served as a financial partner of Christian ministries, churches, and their members.
