GEM Federal Credit Union in Minot, ND has just wrapped up their third annual “Kindness Elf” holiday giving project. The credit union asked their Pee Wee and Friends® club members to kindly bring in new or gently used toys, books or pet items to be donated to Minot Head Start, and they responded in an awesome way this year! Because of their generous members, GEM FCU was able to donate many great items to the local Head Start program.

Head Start and Early Head Start are comprehensive child development programs that serve eligible children from birth to age five, as well as pregnant women. The program is child-focused and strives to increase school readiness and social competence in young children and families. The program also provides a range of services in areas of education and early childhood development, including medical, dental, and mental health, parent involvement, and family support services.
