December 12, 2019 (Greenbelt, MD) - Educational Systems Federal Credit Union recently supported several financial education events as part of their commitment to providing resources that strengthen the lives of the members of the education community.

  • The Millionaire's Club: As the sponsor of the Millionaire's Club at Easton High School and Arundel High School, the Credit Union attended the Clubs' kick-off celebrations. Club members elect their own leadership, complete a year-end entrepreneurial project and have the opportunity to participate in national competitions such as the Stock Market Game™ and the Personal Finance Challenge™. (Photo above: Millionaire's Club at Arundel High School)

  • The Career Options Conference: The Credit Union provided information and answered questions at the conference, which helps high school students in Prince George's County explore career options beyond high school.

  • "Mission Possible": The Credit Union attended the "Mission Possible" event, which celebrated public education in Talbot County and recognized the community for their commitment to providing enrichment opportunities for students and teachers.

  • Anne Arundel Community College Family Involvement Conference: The Credit Union was on-site to support the event which offers families, community members and educators a place to share ideas and address issues vital to the academic success and well-being of students.

  • Tips and Tools for Back to School: Each year, the Credit Union invites members of the education community to share their tips for launching a successful school year. During the campaign, six weekly winners were chosen to receive a $100 Visa® gift card. In addition, a Grand Prize winner was selected to present $500 to the school of their choice on behalf of the Credit Union. Vanessa Thomas selected Potomac High School, located in Prince George's County, to be the recipient of the Grand Prize donation.

"For us, it's an honor to support financial education," said Chris Conway, President/CEO of Educational Systems FCU. "Being active participants in so many different ways demonstrates our commitment to making a difference and fulfills our core purpose of serving the education community."
