Credit Union Association of Rhode Island Awards Scholarship

Erika Fiore of Westerly, RI was recently awarded a scholarship by the Credit Union Association of Rhode Island. Erika who was sponsored by the Westerly Community Credit Union in Westerly, RI was selected from hundreds of applicants submitted to credit unions from throughout Rhode Island. Applications were evaluated on a variety of criteria including the community involvement, extracurricular activities, and the quality and content of an essay that addressed the applicants intended major field of study and career goals. Erika, who will be studying Engineering and Italian at the University of Rhode Island in the fall, has a high academic achievement and commitment to the community. The Staff and Board of Directors of the Westerly Community Credit Union congratulate Erika and wish her the best as she heads to college.
