Northland Area FCU Raises Over $4,600 for Claws & Paws Rescue

Tawas, MI - Northland Area Federal Credit Union employees in Tawas raised over $4,600.00 and collected pet supplies this month to benefit Claws & Paws Rescue.  Deanna Reeves, Vice President of Operations at Northland said, “We are astonished by our member’s kindness and generosity.  Their donations really demonstrate their passion and commitment to help homeless animals.”

Claws & Paws Rescue is a non-profit, no-kill, animal shelter located in West Branch Michigan, whose mission is to end the needless killing of dogs and cats in the sheltering and rescue environment. Claws & Paws provides foster homes, food and medical care for animals that have been abandoned, abused or neglected.

Claws & Paws Board Member Theresa Snider said: “every animal that comes into our care is equally important and loved, donations like this help us to realize our mission and provide necessary resources for these animals.” As Claws & Paws’ biggest donor to date, the Rescue awarded the NAFCU, Tawas Branch employees with a pizza lunch. 

Claws and Paws Rescue is a nonprofit organization that has successfully found homes for over 700 animals.
