Somerville, MA -  Naveo Credit Union employees dressed up in costumes on Thursday, October 31 and raised $250 for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society during their Costumed for a Cure event. Naveo raised funds at their branches in a little over a week.

The Costumed for a Cure event has become an annual participation at Naveo, one that members and employees have come to look forward to. In more recent years, the event has led to a competition between departments for “Best Group” costume, which ultimately led to more donations. This year, Naveo’s Cambridge Retail team dressed as Powderpuff Girls, the Somerville Retail team as Ms. Pac Man and her ghosts, and Operations as Chefs.

To boost collections, employees were given the opportunity to trade in their business clothes for jeans the Friday before Halloween with a donation to the cause.

“Costumed for a Cure puts the FUN in fundraising. Our team and members are proud to do their part in bringing awareness to and raising much-needed funds for blood cancer research,” commented Rui F. Domingos, Chief Executive Officer at Naveo Credit Union.
