Eagle Community CU Donates 50 Backpacks and to Local Elementary School

Lake Forest, CA - Eagle Community Credit Union, in co-operation with CO-OP, donated 50 Yoobi backpacks with school supplies and $250 in gift cards for classroom enhancements to Cook Elementary in Garden Grove, California. This is the third year Eagle Community Credit Union has held a contest for its 20,000 members to nominate and vote for a local deserving school to win the prize. Eagle utilized its social media platforms to engage members for the contest. A total of 9 organizations were nominated for voting by members. Mrs. Morris’ 2nd grade at Cook Elementary, which received more than 1,000 votes through online and social media sharing, was this year’s winner. VP of Marketing, David Ward, went to deliver the backpacks along with Karla Davis, business development officer, and Nguyen Dao, branch manager.
