Genisys Credit Union Recognized for Outstanding Community Service

(Auburn Hills), MI. – Oct. 8, 2019 – On October 7th, Genisys Credit Union was presented the Outstanding Community Service Award at the annual Sunrise Pinnacle Awards Ceremony by the Rochester Regional Chamber of Commerce. The ceremony honors the accomplishments and contributions of the greater Rochester region’s visionary leaders, entrepreneurs, nonprofits, and businesses.
“We are honored to be awarded the Sunrise Pinnacle Outstanding Community Service Award,” said Jackie Buchanan CEO / President of Genisys Credit Union. “In the spirit of improving our communities and giving back, Genisys is proud of everything we have been able to give back to enhance the lives of those in the Rochester community. It is an honor to be part of this great local tradition and the positive economic impact the various festivals have on the greater Rochester community.”
In addition to the award, Genisys is excited to announce their recent approval for a new branch in Rochester Hills. The branch will be located at 1611 S. Rochester Rd. at Eddington Blvd. The credit union is excited to continue conveniently serving current and future members of the Rochester Hills area.
Genisys team members contribute nearly 5,000 volunteer hours and sponsor over 975 events each year to benefit everyone who lives or works in their communities. The credit union has been proud to partner with the Greater Rochester area for the past 20 years across a multitude of events as the presenting sponsor for:
· Arts and Apples
· Wet & Wild Wednesdays with the Rochester Hills Museum,
· Hometown Christmas Parade
· Stonewall Pumpkin Festival
· and this year, a new partnership with the Rochester Avon Recreation Authority (RARA).
In addition, Genisys is also an active member of the Chamber of Commerce and committed to the local high schools. The credit union is proud to support and sponsor Rochester High School’s robotics team, the FEDS 201. They have also been an advocate for continued education through sponsoring scholarship opportunities with the Jr. Grand Marshal Scholarship Program and Rochester Adams DECA scholarship.
