University FCU frequently offers their assistance for local causes. Recently, their Marketing & Community Engagement Officer, Nanci Wilson, volunteered at the local HC Care Center & Food Pantry.

The food pantry is located directly across the parking lot from University FCU’s 17th avenue location in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Since the pantry opened in December 2018, they already have over 60 regular volunteers who have served over 2,350 families in times of hardship, providing over 135,000 pounds of food.

HOPE Community Care Center & Food Pantry's desire is to serve the needs of the Greater Grand Forks region, in partnership with the Great Plains Food Bank and local businesses, churches and organizations. The pantry is investing in their community by meeting a pressing need and showing compassion to those facing difficult situations, with the support of others, such as University FCU.

“What an amazingly organized center, filled with the people helping people spirit,” stated Nanci Wilson, shown below with Jill Kessel, pantry director.
