Burlington, VT - NorthCountry Federal Credit Union presented a check for $20,000 to the American Cancer Society at the 2019 Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk on Sunday, October 13 at Veterans Memorial Park in South Burlington, Vermont.

“This is an important event for anyone whose life has been touched by cancer– directly or indirectly,” says Bob Morgan, CEO, NorthCountry. “It shows support for cancer survivors, friends and families while making an impact by spreading awareness and ultimately raising funds to address this disease. NorthCountry is pleased to financially support the walk and provide staff volunteers and walkers.”

The American Cancer Society started Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walks to unite communities in the fight against this deadly disease. The event raises money to fund innovative research, provide free information and support, and to help people reduce their breast cancer risk or find it early when it's most treatable.

NorthCountry Federal Credit Union is open to anyone who lives or works in northern Vermont, and is headquartered in South Burlington. It provides financial services designed to provide convenience and value, and commits 10% of its previous year’s net revenue to community giving.
