Missoula, MT - Last Tuesday was Go.Give.Grow. day at Horizon CU, and the credit union closed all of its branches at noon and sent every employee (including CEO Jeff Adams and a few board members) out into their communities. The 244-person "Go-Giver" crew volunteered at 13 local food banks and community centers across three states, working a total of 1,000 hours. Each location also received a $1,000 check from the credit union. The company-wide community service event is a way for staff to "pay it forward and lean in to helping others," says Jodie Olson, VP of human resources. Community Relations Administrator Kathleen Schilb adds that Go. Give.Grow lets Horizon "make a big impact in 13 locations all in one day as a unified team." In Montana, Horizon's "Go-Givers" helped out at the Montana Food Bank Network in Missoula and Action, Inc. in Butte. Check out the giant 1,000-hour bill in their photo! Way to go, Horizon!
