Georgia United CU Gives Back to Local Community
September 25, 2019
We are Georgia United Credit Union. It is our proud honor to make an impact in the lives of our members, team members and the communities we serve. Every day and in every way. Together, we are stronger and YOUnited.
Dalton, GA (September 24, 2019) – Team members from Georgia United Credit Union’s Dalton branches kicked off the fall season with a day of giving back to the local community.
On Saturday, September 21, team members from both Georgia United Dalton branches (located at 605 Calhoun Street and 1412 Chattanooga Avenue) partnered with the Greater Dalton Habitat for Humanity to provide home building assistance for two future homeowners.
“This was a great opportunity for both of our Dalton branches to unite and serve the community we live and work in. Through our shared strength, we were able to complete numerous projects and watch the interior of the home come together,” stated Harrison Stafford, Georgia United’s Business Development Officer.
In addition to assisting in the home building process, Stafford provided financial seminars to the Habitat for Humanity homeowners on topics such as money management, understanding debt and preventing identity theft. “Knowing how to own a home is as important as owning the home itself,” stated Stafford. “We are passionate about serving our community and helping our members reach their financial goals.”
