United Savings Raises $1,505 for Sanford Childrens Hospital
September 23, 2019
Fargo, ND - For the past several years, United Savings Credit Union has had great success celebrating “Miracle Jeans Week” surrounding Miracle Jeans Day. “This way, we have more time to fundraise and get more of our members involved,” said Shelby Zach, Marketing Specialist.
This year, the credit union set a goal of raising at least $500 for their Children’s Miracle Network Hospital by selling icons, combined with their employees’ contributions of at least $5 to wear jeans all week. To help raise awareness among members about Miracle Jeans Week, the credit union also sent out Home Banking messages, reminding members to donate in any branch or at a custom link to the online donation page. The online link received 55 clicks! In addition, they promoted through Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn, as well as with flyers in the branches.
At the end of the week, with money raised by employee donations, selling icons in all three branches, plus participation with CU4Kids’ Miracle Jeans Day Digital donation site, United Savings far exceeded their goal – and were able to submit $1,505 to support Sanford Children’s Hospital in Fargo!
