Credit Union Donates $1,000 to Humane Society

White Sands Federal Credit Union donates $1,000 to the Do�a Ana County Humane Society. Thanks to the members of WSFCU that purchased a ticket to the credit union's annual meeting on May 4, the credit union was able to present a check to the DACHS. The credit union charges its members $5 to attend the annual breakfast meeting and donates 100 percent of the ticket sales to a community cause. The credit union also matches the amount raised from ticket sales. The mission of the Do�a Ana County Humane Society is to serve as an advocate for animals and their people in Do�a Ana County, N.M., and to maintain an environment of respect, responsibility and compassion through education, legislation and leadership. The organization is committed to reducing animal overpopulation and defending the abused.
