fccu relay for lifeFirst Community Credit Union (FCCU) of Jamestown, ND held "Golfing FORE a Cure", a night glow ball golf tournament to raise funds for the Stutsman County Relay for Life. The tournament was held on Friday, May 31 at the Hillcrest Golf course. The players golfed in the dark using LED golf balls and the course was lit up with glow sticks. There were 20mph winds that evening and pouring rain but despite the bad weather, over 125 people gathered together for the social and golf tournament. Approximately $5,000 was raised from the event for Relay for Life including sponsorships from Krebsbach Backhoe, Stutsman Harley Davidson, Hofmann Trucking, K& D Towing, S & R Truck Plaza, Hometown Property Management, R&B Motorsports, Valley Sales, the Buff Bar, and ORR Auctioneers. At the end of the night, there was a three way tie for first place. Todd Krebsbach, Jasen Lorenz, Travis Lorenz and Dustin Guthmiller together made one winning team. Mark Attleson, Steve Attleson, Nick Johnston and Tate Johnston also were a winning team. The third winning team consisted of Chris Nenow, Troy Duven, Tom Gaffney and Dan Tollefson. Eighteen teams of golfers competed in the nine-hole tournament. "The Credit Union was very excited to bring this unique event to Jamestown and for such a wonderful cause," says Monica Hieb, Financial Services Officer for FCCU. "We thank the community for coming to enjoy the fun and supporting Relay for Life.
