Texas Trust Credit Union's Game-a-thon Raises $2,755 for Childrens Miracle Network
August 20, 2019
ARLINGTON, Texas – A team of 20 employees from Texas Trust Credit Union raised $2,755 for charity during a 24-hour game-a-thon held at the credit union headquarter campus.
The Extra Life game-a-thon, which benefits the Children’s Miracle Network (CMN), included employees of the credit union and family members. The gamers secured pledges and donations for playing non-stop games – both classic board and card games and a variety of popular electronic games. This was the second year Texas Trust participated in the game-a-thon, raising more money for CMN this time.
Extra Life is a nationwide annual event, which started in 2008. Its proceeds support sick and injured children who are treated through one of the 170 Children’s Miracle Network hospitals. Texas Trust will donate the money directly to Cook Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth, which is part of the CMN.
