Madison, WI - Last week, CUNA Management School second-year students raised more than $6,000 for a Children’s Miracle Network Hospital through a giveback event that has become an annual tradition at the school.

Students assembled “birthday bags,” which will be presented to children receiving treatment at the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. This  way, the children can celebrate their birthdays despite being hospital-bound.

As they assembled the packages, students solicited donations from friends and family. In total, the group raised $6,260 from 210 donors.

Credit unions are the third largest donor in the history of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, and the fifth largest on an annual basis. This partnership has resulted in more than $185 million donated through credit union efforts.
