Each year,
Shell Federal Credit Union provides college financial assistance by awarding John Garrison Scholarships to deserving students. The application process begins each January and ends prior to spring break. In April, six students were awarded $2,500 scholarships to attend college, university, or vocational-technical school. The students below are the 2013 John Garrison Scholarship recipients and the college they will be attending in the fall.

Since 2000, Shell FCU has awarded $170,000 in scholarships to 71 students. The John Garrison Scholarship Award was established in memory of John Garrison, a dedicated volunteer Shell FCU Board Member for over 50 years. His vision and volunteer spirit is still an inspiration to us all. Our hope is that applicants will embrace that same spirit and carry it forward into their own careers and beyond.
